Cherubs (Infants)
Our Infants are simply precious! Their time with us is full of special moments as they develop physically, socially, and emotionally. In addition to meeting their basic needs, we know the benefits of interacting with them throughout the day, reading, playing, and nurturing them. This is a time of discovery and accomplishments and we are blessed to be a part of it! When the weather cooperates, we also go for walks along Robin Road.Precious Ones
Precious Ones
From walking to climbing to talking, our Precious Ones are on the move! This is the time when they say and do the cutest things! Our caregivers nurture and encourage as they acquire new skills in every area of their development. This year will bring many changes as they grow and learn so quickly! In between “changes” they will sing, learn finger plays, listen to Bible stories, experiment with crayons, paint, and water play, be read to and make new friends. We also go for walks and have a wonderful playground to enjoy.
Little Lambs (Toddlers)
Our Toddler classroom is full of energy and activity as the children are eager to learn new things. Toddlers benefit from weekly planned Bible and theme activities as well as organized play opportunities. This is the year when most speech development takes place and they turn into precious little people! Our days consist of small and large motor activities, encouraging independence and self help skills, stories, art, music, outdoor play, language development, and color, letter, and number recognition. Toddlers are nurtured and guided as they continue to develop social and listening skills. When you and your child are ready, we will partner with you in the potty training process.
Wee Sheep Young Preschool
Our three year olds love their independence and doing things for themselves. As each child learns differently, hands on activities and learning centers accommodate individual learning styles. Lessons incorporate weekly academic and Bible themes with color, letter, and number recognition. Small and large motor activities foster thinking and reasoning skills. Indoor and outdoor play encourage new physical skills. Our three’s enjoy cooking projects, field trips and imaginary play!
Wooly Ones (Preschool)
What an exciting year! Preschoolers are engaged activities that reinforce and continue to develop skills that will prepare them for kindergarten. Teachers will guide and facilitate the learning process through organized play, one on one and small group interaction. Fishburn Flock currently uses The Learning Box preschool curriculum which uses themes, hands on activities, arts and crafts, and early literacy experiences to develop necessary academic skills. Bible lessons will give children a clearer understanding of who God is and all that He has done for us. Regular field trips further enhance their experiences. Preschoolers accomplishments are celebrated with a year end graduation ceremony!
School Age (Angels)
Our before and/or after school program provides a relaxing atmosphere with many activity choices such as crafts, reading, art, computer, music, games, and free and organized play. Emphasis is placed on Bible learning as well as instilling values.Homework help is available if needed. All kindergarteners attend school either full day or in the afternoon. All day care is provided for those times when regular school is not in session. This program is offered to all families with children attending Derry Township Schools, Conewago Elementary and Hershey Christian School. Derry provides transportation and Fishburn Flock provides transportation to Conewago and Hershey Christian.
Flock Summer Camp (School Age)
Each summer Fishburn Flock offers a fun filled, activity packed, weekly summer camp. Available to children who have finished kindergarten through sixth grade, Flock summer camp offers weekly themed activities, swimming and field trips. Bible lessons will give children a clearer understanding of who God is and all that He has done for us. From PJ parties to cooking activities, to creative art, children look forward to the fun and special friendships!
